Snow Guards
Designed to slow the snowslide off the eave side of a steel roof, snow guards protect doorways, driveways, and shrubs from large amounts of snow sliding off the roof like an avalanche onto whatever or whoever is beneath.
House of Steel stocks several styles of snow guards. The newest style has been designed by William Heim, owner of the House of Steel and William Heim Construction. Shown installed at right, the plastic House of Steel snow guard measures just over 5 ¼ inches long and 2 ¾ wide with a life time warranty. | | | | | | | | | | | House of Steel Snow Guards |

House of Steel also carries other styles of snow guards, including stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic.
Installation
For optimum performance, snow guards should be installed at 2 and 4 foot staggered intervals beginning 2 foot up from the edge, between the high ribs. Roof pitch and length of steel run also are factors in determining snow guard positioning. | | |
